Eight Horror Film Festivals in the U.S. By Alexandria Gonzalez Writer and director Millie Loredo had a nightmare four years ago in 2011 that was so vivid that when she woke up, she immediately grabbed a pen and paper and had a draft of her treatment for a short film called Sorrow. She expanded the short film into a 90-page screenplay and turned it into a full-length feature film.
Sorrow follows the story of Mila Sweeney, a forensic psychologist who is kidnapped and tortured by two deranged serial killers. However, she manages to escape and exact revenge against her captors.
Last month, Millie and cast member Melissa Mars screened the indie horror film in select theaters across the eastern United States. It is also now available to watch on DVD and Blu-Ray as well as through online streaming services, including Amazon Prime Instant Video, Google Play, Hulu Plus and Vimeo.
However, Millie feels that her film needs additional exposure. That is why she is submitting Sorrow to several horror film festivals. Below is a list of some of the festivals Millie is submitting her indie horror film to as well as several other prominent festivals in the U.S. Keep reading to find out where you can watch more indie horror films like Sorrow!
